Our ObjectiveThe objective of the Church of Christ in Franklin County is to be faithful to Christ in all HE teaches. HE tells us that we can be true disciples only when we abide in the teaching of HIS word (John 8:31-32). We believe the Old Testament to be inspired and written for our learning (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; Romans 15:4). We study it in our Bible classes and use it in our preaching. However, we recognize that Jesus fulfilled all scriptures and replaced "The Law" at the cross (Colossians 2:14). We uphold the New Testament as the covenant (testament) through which Christ directs HIS people today (Hebrews 1:1, 2; 8:6, 7). The New Testament is our guide in all matters of faith and practice. We do not adhere to nor accept as authoritative any man made creed. Each member must accept individual responsibility as a disciple to study and apply the teachings of Jesus (John 8:31-32; 2 Timothy 2:15). We are confident that if each individual is guided solely by the word of God, unity, not confusion will result. The church of Christ has an interest in helping people in their search for truth. We welcome the opportunity to assist anyone in their study of the Bible and appreciate anyone’s willingness to help us in the pursuit of truth. As Isaiah said, “Come now, and let us reason together...” (Isaiah 1:18). If you would like to have a home Bible study, a free Bible correspondence course, or if you have any questions, simply let us know. We can be contacted in person, my mail, e-mail, or by phone. GOALS
